Happy New Year, everyone! Things are hectic here at 510 Ivy, as I frantically try to unpack, catch up on many weeks of dirty laundry, and take care of one sick little puppy. Therefore, I've been up writing code since 5:30, and the end is not in sight for this particular project. I'd tell you all about it, but I'd have to kill you, as per my nondisclosure agreement.

Otherwise, Mich is in lovely Allentown until tomorrow, so I'm all alone in my piles of dirty clothes. Lets talk college football. The Florida Gators, my alma mater's team, just completed their worst season since 1989. They have been perennial contenders for the national title since then. This year, we had a new coach, who had previously been fired from the Gator staff for cheating and basic ineptitude. He spent several years as the special teams coach for the New Orleans Saints. Yet, when he showed up at Florida, our special teams couldn't kick, receive, or even hit extra points. It got so bad that our backup quarterback started punting for us. The University Athletic Association, which is the independent corporation that handles Gator Sports, has around a 50 million dollar budget each year. They can't hire us a decent coach? Blech. Well, lets just hope Ohio State beats Miami so at least there will be some dignity left for the Gators in the Sunshine State.

Home! I forgot how great it was to be here. No living out of a suitcase or having to impose on people. My ever-comfortable bed and desk chair were very nice to return to. Bilbo is equally excited to get back to wrecking the place. The City was great. Bilbo made friends with Michelle's sisters new puppy, a cantankerous Pekingese named Phoebe. I call her BePhoe (read "beefy"), much to the chagrin of her owners. We also went to some place in Chelsea called Francisco's, which claims it is the #1 Lobster joint in the city, and I would agree. The 3.5 pounds of crustacean stuffed with another pound of crabmeat was just perfect! Very good bread and sangria as well.

I'm going to put some pictures from the trip up later on today, so check them out! For the rest of vacation, I'll be working on Ovo work, trying to get up to speed for my classes this semester (namely Advanced Java and Game Design), and generally vegging.
