Movies

Sorry, kids, but you need Quicktime 6 to see these:

Pictures

The lobby of the Beaufort, on Sentosa Island, where we plan to stay NEXT time.

The skyline of the downtown area, as seen from the Cable Car.

Subway station at City Hall.  Times Square Station, eat your heart out.

This is a diver vacuuming fish excrement.  Apparently one of the more prestigious vocations.

Funny Sign #1:Um, ahhhh.....

There is very little you can actually do with the Photo Editing software on the new CLIE.  This is one of them.

Rich takes over the world: Take One

Not a door cock, but it'll do.

Funny sign #2:  Who would want to be any other kind of jeweller?

Notice the lines on the ground. These provide a much more intuitive directive than most other metro transportation systems, where the norm is "Get in (or out) of the friggin train faster than anyone else!".  Hint:  You're all going to get there at the same time!

This little fella didn't ever manage to touch his nose to the red ball.  He did, as it turned out, taste wonderful with a robust Cabernet.

Is that a fact?

Picture we are selling to the Beaufort Hotel.  Beauty, ain't it?

They have beautiful orchids in Singapore.  These were very nice before we uprooted them to take them home.

Rich Takes Over the World:  Take Two

Random candid shot from Orchard Road.

Funny sign #3:  Michelle thought taking pictures of signs like this was immature.  She was right.

Turtles need Zen too.

This is the Merlion, a mythological creature which is a cultural symbol here in Singapore.  As Michelle points out, its really SUPER-mythological, because a mermaid doesn't really exist either.  Oh, that's our hotel behind it.

Michelle packing.  This occupied nearly one third of our time in Singapore.

So, not many Menorahs in Singapore.  Merry Christmas, everyone!

Our bathtub at the Fullerton, which, while looking exquisite, was never used.

The view from our room at the Four Seasons.  Trees in a city?  Certainly not no!

There are apparently many historical buildings in Singapore, and this is apparently one of them.

I call this one "Tank of Jellyfish Behind Random Native's Head"

Don't this kids have parents?  You should have SEEN how dirty that river was that they are jumping into!

Yeah, so the travel agent neglected to share that December is smack in the middle of monsoon season here in Singapore.  This picture, consequently, was taken indoors.

I took this picture out of the window of our plane, as the sun came up over what I think were the Philippines.  Notice the small islands in the bottom of the image, as well as the UFO in the top left.

"Stupid human", the dolphin grumbled as he performed for the moronic crowd of tourists.  "I could have been running the show by now if not for my addiction to small fish treats".

And that's pretty much the last I saw of Michelle before she got eaten.  Shame though, she was a great girl.
